- Orders and Payments
By placing an order with Tranquil Bed & Furniture Factory trading as Tranquil Factories, you agree to the terms and conditions
outlined herein. All orders are subject to availability. Payments can be made via accepted payment methods, and products will
be shipped upon successful payment confirmation.
“Seller” refers to Tranquil Bed & Furniture Factories trading as Tranquil Factories, the provider of bespoke furniture.
“Buyer” refers to the customer purchasing the furniture.
“Goods” refers to the custom-made furniture designed and manufactured per the Buyer’s specifications. - ORDER PROCESS & CUSTOMIZATION
2.1. All bespoke furniture orders are based on the agreed design, materials, and specifications, confirmed in writing
or via an approved design document.
2.2. Any modifications requested by the Buyer after order confirmation may incur additional charges and could
affect the delivery timeline.
2.3. The Seller reserves the right to refuse requests that alter the integrity of the agreed design. - PRICING & PAYMENT TERMS
3.1. All prices are quoted in Rands and are exclusive of taxes, delivery, and installation charges, unless stated
otherwise.
3.2. Payment terms are as follows:
Deposit: 50% of the total price due upon order confirmation.
Final Payment: Balance payable before delivery or on the agreed payment date.
3.3. Orders will not proceed to production until the deposit has been received.
3.4. Late payments may be subject to a late fee of 10% per month. - PRODUCTION & DELIVERY
4.1. Production begins upon receipt of the deposit and confirmation of final specifications.
4.2. The estimated delivery time is 2 weeks from the production start date.
4.3. The Seller will notify the Buyer of any unforeseen delays due to material shortages or external factors.
4.4. The Buyer must ensure that the delivery location is accessible and ready for installation (if applicable).
4.5. If the Buyer fails to accept delivery within 7 days of notification, storage fees may apply. - RETURNS, CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
5.1. Due to the custom nature of the Goods, all sales are final. Returns and refunds are not accepted unless the item is
defective or does not match the agreed specifications.
5.2. If a cancellation request is made before production begins, the Buyer may receive a partial refund (excluding design
and administrative fees).
5.3. Cancellations made after production has started will forfeit the deposit and may be subject to additional cancellation
fees. - WARRANTY & LIABILITY
6.1. The Seller warrants that the furniture is free from material and workmanship defects for a period of 12 months from
the delivery date.
6.2. The warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear, natural material variations, or aging.
Damage caused by improper use, accidents, or modifications by the Buyer.
Exposure to extreme environmental conditions (e.g., water damage, excessive heat).
6.3. The Seller’s liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund (at the Seller’s discretion).
6.4. In no event shall the Seller be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from the use of the
furniture. - FORCE MAJEURE
7.1. The Seller shall not be held liable for delays or failure to perform due to force majeure events, including but not
limited to natural disasters, strikes, supply chain disruptions, or government regulations. - DISPUTE RESOLUTION
8.1. Any disputes arising under these terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through negotiation.
8.2. If no resolution is reached, the matter shall be settled under the jurisdiction of Republic of South Africa laws through
arbitration. - GOVERNING LAW
9.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Republic of South
Africa.
