A practical guide to buying wooden furniture structures.
01 · Understand the product
A frame is the unfinished structural foundation of a piece of furniture. It still needs the appropriate padding, covering and finishing work. Our design references may show an upholstered example beside a structure; the upholstered example is not supplied.
02 · Read the supplied configuration
Use the written “What you receive” scope, not the number of items pictured. Gianfranco is R 4,490 per 2000 × 900 mm corner module, excluding VAT. Lacoon is R 4,490 for one oval sofa frame, excluding VAT; its smaller chair costs extra. Baca is R 1,990 for one chair frame, excluding VAT.
03 · Confirm size and board specification
Measurements are in millimetres unless stated. Board thickness does not establish board grade, timber species, moisture resistance or structural performance. Confirm material, overall dimensions, upholstery allowance and any bed support requirements in writing. Do not infer a load rating from a photograph.
04 · Plan the finished result
Discuss foam build-up, seat height, comfort, fabric and finish with your upholsterer. Curves and larger modules can add upholstery labour, fabric and transport costs. Any change from the listed size or configuration needs a new quotation.
05 · Check the route into your space
Measure doorways, stairs, lifts and turning spaces. Confirm whether each assembled section will fit. Discuss unloading and installation requirements before a delivery price is accepted.
06 · View the structure from every angle
Where matching assets are available, use the interactive 360° viewer on the product page. A photographic sequence or 3D model is a visual aid; the confirmed written dimensions and material specification govern the supplied structure. A single reference image is not a complete 360° view.
